At St Lawrence Primary School we provide an Induction Program for all new staff. Each new staff member is allocated a mentor and new staff meet regularly as a team to ensure that they are given the support they need to settle into our culture.
We see our Induction Program as an integral part of our Performance and Development Culture. We support new staff by:
- Providing a mentor
- Providing opportunities for collaboration and collegiality
- Setting up an Induction checklist
- Conducting 3 Induction professional learning days
- Conducting regular Induction team meetings
